Communication and Comments

Anthony and Jhocelyn – Archdiocese of Denver

How did it better your commutation: It definitely improved our communication. We are better for discussing things in our lives together and bringing God into the conversation to help us get through whatever may come our way. We were already strong in our communication but this learning made it even better

Appreciated most by him: How closer we become throughout our deeper conversations during the lessons. It all really opened us up to realizing how special our marriage is. We also became so much more connected to God while learning about what has led us as human beings to where we are now.

Appreciated most by her: With such busy schedules, it can be hard sometimes to carve out time to spend time for ourselves. What I appreciated most of this course is that it gave us the opportunity to dedicate time for just ourselves and have great conversations. It also brought us closer to God as a couple.

Dan and Trish – Diocese of Arlington

How did it better your commutation: It did help our communication. While we have dealt with various aspects of many issues covered during the class, some of the material did prompt fresh discussions on elements of these issues that we may not have paid significant attention to in the past.

Appreciated most by him: I appreciated the dedication and responsiveness of our mentors.  I got the sense that they genuinely want to help Trish and I through our journey and they were invested in seeing that we got a lot out of the class.  Additionally, while I was generally somewhat familiar with the general beliefs and values of the Catholic Church, this course helped me understand the Church's teachings a bit better.

Appreciated most by her: I wasn't sure what to expect coming into this program having been civilly married for over ten years. Finding how scripture fit in - and will always fit in - to our modern lives was eye opening and, in some ways, reassuring. I liked the mixed content of reading scripture, the CCC, the course work, and videos.  I found myself rewatching some videos or looking up more information from those sources.

Ricardo and Marlynn – Diocese of Orange

Appreciated most by him: We really appreciate the openness of our instructors and their thoughts and output because it gave us another perspective in how other marriages and families are.

Appreciated most by her: I really appreciate the time our instructors took to respond back to us and also how they shared their life with us that really meant a lot also the support we received from them was very thoughtful and helpful.
